1. Lyrebird - the most talented bird

    Read about the lyrebird’s amazing ability to imitate sounds it hears. Not only can the bird mimic the very funny Kookaburra, it can reproduce the many other non-bird sounds - from chainsaw to camera shutter to car alarm. 

    Researchers say that the lyrebird, the most complexly-muscled of the Passerines, has a photographic memory of sound, and uses its head, the beak and syrinx in highly coordinated movements to produce practically any sound - bird, human, other animals, or even heavy machinery.
